Although it must be paired with screen protection, I cannot think of functional improvements for this product. It goes on and comes off easily, provides good shock protection and its surface texture helps keep it where it is put. I think it offers some moisture protection, which could save your iPod from sudden death. Unless you are looking for an eye-catching colorful cover you will not be disappointed.

This case is awesome, to sum it up in one word. I am able to keep the case on when I dock it to my iHome alarm clock, Pioneer Elite receiver, and Altec Lansing iMT800 boombox. FYI... you do need to remove the dock inserts for it to fit with this case. The case has a very good feel to it and I never feel like the Touch will slip out of my hand. I highly recommend this case.

They should have reinforced the bottom area where you plug in your iPod. It's too loose and flimsy. Doesn't feel very protective. Otherwise, it's pretty much all you could ask for in a cover.

This case is money -- that is, it's well worth it. The case is extremely easy to figure out, and it protects your touch beautifully. The main complaint I have with it is it makes it significantly more bulky... like 1.5 - 2 times as bulky. But any case is going to add some bulk, while not many will offer you this great of protection for the price. The other complaint I have is that it seems to inhibit the auto-brightness adjuster, but I didn't really like that feature much, anyway.

I bought this case because I wanted something that would protect the ipod as much as possible. Prior to this case I had the "rebel touch" case and was not pleased with it. The only thing it was good for was looking nice. If you had the screen protector on the ipod, the "rebel touch" was so tight on it that it would make "ripples" on the screen protector. I was not happy with the "rebel touch" for those reasons so I set out and looked at almost every case in my 25 dollar price range available online and in stores. I looked at various reviews and came to the decision of the otterbox. It was rated up there with the "rebel touch" so it should be pretty good. After seeing numerous youtube videos of the case, I decided that I will buy this one.



Bottom line: If you want a case that protects your expensive ipod then this is for you. I havent tried putting it in a dock so I dont know if it will work, but the stock ipod usb/data cable plugs into it fine.



As for the "oil slick" screen problem, you can do that trick found on youtube with the baby powder. I didnt do that trick and it does not bother me at all...yet... the screen looks much better then the ripples that the "rebel touch" created.



The otterbox buttons also press easier then the other case I had and seems as though the makers put much more thought into it then the "rebel touch." I am extremely happy with my decision of switching to this case.

Case works great and fits well into your hands quite well, with enough protection in place to keep it safe from falls and bumps. This device also fits the ipod touch 3g with no problem either. My only gripe with it is that the design for the apple proprietary port is shaped oval like. If you are using a 3rd party connector such a car product that does not use the same slim line design as the official apple connector it will not fit through. Some sanding on the connectors can fix this easy enough, but something to be aware of with this case.



Also getting air bubbles out from under the screen shield seems to be a near impossible task, no matter how hard i try always a few are left, but at least the real screen is smudge free!



It is worth the cost and feels like a high quality/rugged case.

This sleeve was my first purchase for my new Ipod touch. The sleeves work marginally well for the everyday users that only want to keep it scratch free while walking from the flat to the coffee shop. That's a nice dream but my job involves a lot of traveling, most of that out in the desert where my primary concern is who's shooting at me rather than how my Ipod is doing. I found that too often the edges wanted to slip off and eventually pulled the entire case off if it went unnoticed. I would also bet that the micrometer of rubber around the edge is probably not enough to protect the unit from any sort of significant impact.



Now, I understand the prudent thing to do would be leave it locked back in my tough tote but I take my Ipod with me because it has several key features that I utilize everyday and its a useful tool to balance an already overwhelming amount of information (as well as being a good distraction - there's always time for another episode of Dirty Jobs).



For individuals that are in a similar situation to mine, here's what I did and found useful. Either purchase an Otterbox or the Oakley Iphone rubber armor casing. Combined with my full size Iluv rubber sleeve which extends all the way to the edges of the screen and screen scratch protector, and the Oakley case the device itself is nearly indestructible and the rubber on rubber contact ensure no slippage and increased shock/dust/sand protection.

I read the reviews before I ordered it, wondering about the quality and that the light sensor is covered up. I love this case. It is exactly what I needed. I didn't even cut out a hole for the light sensor as one reviewer did. The case fits on my belt securely and flat against my body. I have a 3rd gen ipod touch which fits into the case snugly and all necessary connection points and volume controls are exposed precisely. I think BestBuy has the same case for about $35.

I'm not sure why, the magnet is too small and does not securely fasten the cover that protects the touch screen. Also, the volume control buttons on the side of the touch are completely obstructed. Contrary to what the company describes what the case fits, this case is a very tight fit for the FIRST gen itouch and not built to suit the 2nd gen itouch as it does not allow access the volume buttons on the side.

I like the very slim design of the case, but honestly, this could have been built better.

I liked the one I had by DLO ..& I could not find that company anywhere ! . the only ones I was coming across had a belt Clip which i DO NOT want .so I went to Sony and the clerk looked up dlo and found the case I wanted .. I ordered it but then after I realized it had a clip ... I was very upset but I had read another reveiw from another customer and she did not want the clip either but accepted this one because it wasn't bulky . I just recieved this in the mail. I ordered it two day service and unfortunately they ship it via the USPS so it takes two weeks. Once I opened it I expected that it wouldn't have anything magnetic. It does and if you know anything about technology you know magnets and electronic circuitry doesn't mix well together especially Television screens and such. I'm not sure whether to use this or not. I'm afraid it's going to screw up my already 300.00 product. Otherwise it is very sleek. Very nice design. I probably wont use it in fear it will mess my ipod touch up, unless I see more reviews in a few months with users that haven't had any problems.

Overall, i'd agree that it was great for it's price, it looks and feels good (it actually looks better than the picture), and gives my ipod touch the protection i want. The flap is also safely secured by a magnet-buckle. Definitely a good product for a cheap price.



However, one downside is that when my ipod is in the case, i cannot charge it as the slot for the charging is not big enough. So i have to remove it every time i want to charge, and that is troublesome. Besides that, the volume controls on the left side are also blocked.



If it were not for these 2 downsides, i would give it a 100%!



By all means get it, since it's so cheap! But be prepared for what i've warned u about!

I have used this case for about a week. Things I am pleased about: reasonably sturdy construction, protects the ITouch in your pocket with other items (key feature for me), seems that it will offer protection from small drops or bumps, all buttons & ports accessible. Naturally, you will need to remove it if you want to insert it into most docks a la mobile speakers. A word of caution though: I find it very difficult to access the edge of the touch screen. If you have very small fingers you might not have a problem, but my average size fingers hit the edge of the case. A number of apps (particularly games) require touching the screen close to the edge so you may find that you are removing the ITouch from the case more frequently than you would like. I should also mention that the cover does fold completely over fairly easily so you don't really have to worry about it being in the way. Right now it doesn't stay there by itself, but I expect that with time as the leather loosens up I won't need to. We'll see if this causes excessive wear.
