This case is money -- that is, it's well worth it. The case is extremely easy to figure out, and it protects your touch beautifully. The main complaint I have with it is it makes it significantly more bulky... like 1.5 - 2 times as bulky. But any case is going to add some bulk, while not many will offer you this great of protection for the price. The other complaint I have is that it seems to inhibit the auto-brightness adjuster, but I didn't really like that feature much, anyway.

I bought this case because I wanted something that would protect the ipod as much as possible. Prior to this case I had the "rebel touch" case and was not pleased with it. The only thing it was good for was looking nice. If you had the screen protector on the ipod, the "rebel touch" was so tight on it that it would make "ripples" on the screen protector. I was not happy with the "rebel touch" for those reasons so I set out and looked at almost every case in my 25 dollar price range available online and in stores. I looked at various reviews and came to the decision of the otterbox. It was rated up there with the "rebel touch" so it should be pretty good. After seeing numerous youtube videos of the case, I decided that I will buy this one.
Bottom line: If you want a case that protects your expensive ipod then this is for you. I havent tried putting it in a dock so I dont know if it will work, but the stock ipod usb/data cable plugs into it fine.
As for the "oil slick" screen problem, you can do that trick found on youtube with the baby powder. I didnt do that trick and it does not bother me at all...yet... the screen looks much better then the ripples that the "rebel touch" created.
The otterbox buttons also press easier then the other case I had and seems as though the makers put much more thought into it then the "rebel touch." I am extremely happy with my decision of switching to this case.

I've been an ipod user since the first generation and I could easily suggest OtterBox as the best Ipod-case developer because of the fabrics and materials they use besides their designs and convenient value-price ratio.

Case works great and fits well into your hands quite well, with enough protection in place to keep it safe from falls and bumps. This device also fits the ipod touch 3g with no problem either. My only gripe with it is that the design for the apple proprietary port is shaped oval like. If you are using a 3rd party connector such a car product that does not use the same slim line design as the official apple connector it will not fit through. Some sanding on the connectors can fix this easy enough, but something to be aware of with this case.
Also getting air bubbles out from under the screen shield seems to be a near impossible task, no matter how hard i try always a few are left, but at least the real screen is smudge free!
It is worth the cost and feels like a high quality/rugged case.

Just FYI: this case fits the Ipod Touch 3g as well as the 2g. It's also totally baller. I love it.
