First off I bought two at the same time from bargaincell on this page and the two I received were different looking than the one in the picture.



- The plug is wider so the audio jack will not fit at the same time as the charger, basically you have to charge or listen to music, not both at the same time.



- The chargers are flaky you have to wiggle them around to just the right spot to make it work.



Once again this was the one from bargaincell so if you buy from another vendor on this page it may vary but their version is utter junk even for $5 shipped.

PROs:

1) I was searching for cases on Amazon before buying this one, and checked out a lot of the sub $10 skins. Almost all the reviews said those case was too big. However, this case was the cheapest of them all, and also fits very snugly and does a good job protecting the iPod Touch.

2) The price tag - at $0.69, I was surprised this case wasn't glued together. Compared to cases reaching $30, and even skimpy screen protector sheets reaching almost to $10, this case delivers a lot of bang for your buck.

3) The color - the case looks great on the iPod Touch because it matches and isn't a lightish-black or greyish, but is actually a solid, great-looking black (just as it appears in the images).



CONs:

1) The case is a dust magnet. Putting it down on a surface almost always results in particles and dust bits to wind up on the case. This affects the cleanliness of the overall product more than the actual appearance though, and does not alter the protection value at all.

2) The cut hole in the back of the case is designed to let the Wi-Fi "antennae", or whatever that black Wi-Fi patch is called on the back of the iPod Touch, poke through. However, it isn't correctly placed, and is shifted a little off place. Thus, It reveals a sliver of the chrome backing because they left a little too much room for the patch. Dust can often get through here.



Overall:

1) Keep in mind for $0.69, you really can't complain, I just thought stating some of the problems this case has compared to more pricey ones would be beneficial for potential customers to know.

2) However, while you can't go wrong spending less than 3 quarters on such a case, I'd suggest investing in a better case, especially maybe a name-brand case, like Griffin, Belkin, etc. It would most likely last longer, I know they offer anti-dust cases, there is a bigger variety, etc.

Let's face it the ipod Touch is a scratch magnet from the moment you take it out of its plastic shell. I find this case to be an excellent fit for the ipod touch 2g. Very easy to get on, yet won't slip off. Perfectly placed notches for the plug and earphones, and slightly raised and marked buttons for the volume and top button. It has a nice soft feel, yet is grippy and won't slip on smooth surfaces. At less than five dollars, with prime shipping, this is an excellent value. You really don't need anything thicker b/c it will only make your device bulky without offering any greater protection. I wish i had gotten it the day i got the Touch rather than a few weeks later.

Apple's new generation of devices (the 3G iPhone, the 2nd gen iPod touch and the 4nd gen iPod nano) no longer support 12v FireWire style charging, they only support 5v USB style charging. This adaptor will not work on the above listed devices. Apple has been slowly dropping FireWire support from the iPods, so expect this to be the case will all future devices as well.

The case is suitable to protect the ipod but probably not strong enough to be used with the armband for running. It is probably okay if you are doing some low-impact activity.

Honestly, at this price did the 1-, 2-star reviewers want a diamond-studded gold case? Everything is lower-grade in the package, but for the price, can't beat the options.



The silicone case is, well, silicone. It's more of a dust cover and scratch protector than a drop protector. It is exactly what I needed though, small, thin-form, unobtrusive. It also docks in the case. Nice.



The arm band will fit a variety of sizes with the continuous velcro design. The band with the silicone case does hold the iPod securely enough while running. Unlike every other running case I've owned, this one sags a bit while being worn since the silicone case is nothing but silicone with no support in the back for the strap. I thought this would be a problem or at least an annoyance while running. Never even noticed it. And it hasn't stretched out over three months, as I had expected it to do.



The screen protector does the job. It's lasted a few months. It was not a perfect fit like the two others I had bought for other items. You'd have to look see where it doesn't fit right, which stays hidden for me since I leave this in the silicone sleeve.



All of the other pieces, low-grade, but they work. Don't expect to sit on them or step on them and not have the seams pop apart.



Hard to beat the price for all of the accessories. If you have the car adaptor and other pieces, I would recommend getting something a bit more durable as an armband for the same price as this package (I suspect I will have to replace it in a year, maybe two if I'm lucky). But by then, who knows what new gadget/upgrade Apple will add that I can't live without and have to get a new iPod and associated case for anyway. If you're investing in durability, protection and longevity for 3 or more years for your iPod, (which the battery won't last for that many charge cycles anyway if you use it like I do), then get something else. However, I think this accessory will last about the life-expectancy of the product.

The items I received were pretty much what I see in the picture, except that the synthetic leather case has a belt clip that protrudes out. It is not removable. So it would not be suitable if you want to put it in a shirt or pants pocket, which is what I am looking for. The photos on the website do not show the reverse side of the leather case.



Other than that, the items were usable. Construction quality is not as refined. For example the USB sync cable that comes with the standard iPod Touch box is of better quality than that in the accessory bundle.



There are 4 cases -- a hard plastic case, a white silicone case, a black rubber case and the synthetic leather case mentioned above. Well, I can only use one at a time as they are made to fit my iPod Touch 3rd Gen nicely.

What an amazing amount of stuff for my 3g ITouch for a small price. Everything is compatible and works well. The headphones, while not equipped with a mic are even as good as the earbuds that came with the ITouch. I am frankly amazed at how much there is and that it is all usable. My husband had my Touch inscribed with a sentiment and I really wanted a clear case but could not find one for less than $15. This package had a clear case and two others, plus cords, cables, chargers, earphones - any accessory you could possibly need. Terrific value!

I have the 4th Generation Ipod Nano in orange. It looks beautiful and it works perfectly. I do wish it would have come with more detailed instructions for setting up as there are alot of options in the menu and the buttons I push that I have no idea what they mean.



I bought a cover for it to protect it while it's in my purse, but would also recommend some kind of screen cover to cover the glass part from scratches, etc...
