 "Waste of 3 dollars" 2009-10-15
By R. Crabtree
First off the item in the picture isnt the item your going to be getting in the mail. Second its super cheaply made and Third it didnt work in my truck. So dont bother getting this unless you dont mind wasting your money on something that doesnt function.

"Good price - short cord" 2009-08-12
By D. Northington (Woodstock, GA)
Obviously the price is right on these chargers, but the cords are short. I find myself manually stretching it out almost every time I charge.

"Total Junk, does not fit properly" 2008-12-31
By K. Winter
First off I bought two at the same time from bargaincell on this page and the two I received were different looking than the one in the picture.

- The plug is wider so the audio jack will not fit at the same time as the charger, basically you have to charge or listen to music, not both at the same time.

- The chargers are flaky you have to wiggle them around to just the right spot to make it work.

Once again this was the one from bargaincell so if you buy from another vendor on this page it may vary but their version is utter junk even for $5 shipped.

"You get what you pay for" 2008-09-17
By A. Woodbury (San Francisco, CA)
This thing cost me $0.42, but it was no bargain. If you use it to charge your iPod while you listen to it, your iPod will make a loud hissing sound. At least mine does. Maybe it's broken, but the shipping costs so much more than the product, I'll never know.

Go with a reliable brand.

 "Great for the price" 2008-08-23
By PB
We've had this for about 9 months now and it works great, hasn't broken, hasn't hurt the ipod, and cost almost nothing including shipping. I'd buy it again, but I don't need to as this one is fine.

 "Wrong item sent" 2009-09-12

player already installed

 "Charges!" 2009-08-21
By M. Dueber (Saint Paul, MN)
This does exactly what it is supposed to do - charges my first generation iPhone. And it was cheap.

Not much more to say.

"Warning! This item doesn NOT work with iphone 3GS" 2009-07-03
By Gerald T (Indianapolis, IN)
Warning! This item does NOT work with iphone 3GS. However it will power a older style ipod. I mistakenly purchased this charger (can't beat the price) but it does not work with the newer iphone's

"Not Compatible With New iPods" 2008-12-04
By Stephen Becker (Houston, TX USA)
Apple's new generation of devices (the 3G iPhone, the 2nd gen iPod touch and the 4nd gen iPod nano) no longer support 12v FireWire style charging, they only support 5v USB style charging. This adaptor will not work on the above listed devices. Apple has been slowly dropping FireWire support from the iPods, so expect this to be the case will all future devices as well.

 "5/5" 2008-05-17
By Foster Diebold (Florida)
Though it did not function in the way i expected it to, it does indeed do what it is designed to. i misread the description believing that it lets you use the device to play your mp3 in the car, but it charges it. however, i have found it to be quite useful. it works like a charm

 "Great for the price" 2009-10-05
By Keith M. Torrence
Items does exactly what it advertises. It's cheap and holds a phone that has a protective skin (which was important to me) just fine. I highly recommend

 "perfect solution" 2009-09-13
By WorkingMom (New Hampshire)
I read some of the reviews about the suction cup, etc. I don't know if they made improvements or we have an extra sticky window, but has worked perfectly for us. Low cost for clever gadget.

 "Ipod Windshield Mount Holder" 2009-09-09
By Elaine Schlueter
The Universal Car Windshield Mount Holder for the Apple Ipod Touch doesn't "suck" onto the windshield tight enough to hold while driving. It shakes, rattles and rolls right off.

 "Price = Quality" 2009-09-08
By A. Rowe (Washington, DC, USA)
My phone has fallen out of it so many times, and it pops off the window half the time you're trying to adjust the angle, but it wasn't expensive, so I can't truly complain. Maybe I'll try the super glue method?

 "Not a quality product." 2009-08-21
By Sadiki
The only reason I keep buying these is because they're so cheap, but the problem is that I have to keep buying them. With daily use, these break in as little as a month of use. When you push the sides together, it's supposed to lock into place, but eventually the cheap plastic just breaks on the inside and it will randomly start springing back out. It's not worth the effort when your phone can just drop onto the dashboard while you're driving. This goes without mentioning the suction cup everyone is having problems with. I ended up not using it, so I didn't have to deal with it falling off constantly.

Also, you don't receive the item in the first 5 product images. The one you do actually get is the 6th image, which is definitely worse looking and provides significantly less support for your phone.

"Charges the newer iPods & iPhones" 2009-10-28
By Not my real name (Illinois)
Some generic (non-Apple) USB car chargers won't charge the newer iPods or iPhones. This one does. And the extra port can charge something else like a headset at the same time. Just what I needed.

 "Great, compact, 2-port adapter" 2009-10-10
By bb (TX)
What can you say. It works. Takes 12V and makes it 5V for the USB standard. It would be nicer if they allowed both ports to have 1.0 amp for faster charging of two devices (i.e. 10W). But charges single item great and two devices, no problem, just not as quickly as a single item. It would be 5-stars if both ports provided full USB power at the same time for faster charging, but this will fit any road warrior need.

"2 Port USB Car Cigarette Lighter Adapter Dual Plug for iPhone" 2009-09-17

"2 Port USB Cigarette Adapter Plug" 2009-09-13
By Patrk71 (Texas)
Use this for my iPhone and a Jabra recharging plug. Keep the cords coiled up in the glove box till I'm in the car. Charges both without issue. Has 2 little red lights to show the charge is on. Priced right. I thought it might too cheap to work but it is no different from the $39.00 Cigarette Adapter Plug I bought at the Big Store.

 "Just what i needed" 2009-08-27
By J. Nielsen
I bought this because I got an iphone 3g and my old chargers wouldn't work (apparently apple made it so the firewire configuration is different, or something like that) Anyway, i bought this for my iphone 3g and it works perfectly.

 "looks cheap" 2009-09-08
By NSC (New York)
I gave this as a gift, they looked cheap.

I don't know if the person really likes it.

I hope it will not mess up the ipod touch.

I think it's worth investing on better products

for your ipod touch.

 "Excellent deal!" 2009-08-22
By S (US)
This turned out to be an excellent deal for a pretty cheap price! Everyone knows how much iPod related items are marked up these days, but this combo deal gives you both the wall charger and car charger for one cheap price! Plus, you no longer are constrained to the mobility of your computer for having to charge your iPod up! This is an excellent buy and they are made with durable materials. Sometimes you get those cheap sets that look like you could get them out of a gumball machine, but these look durable enough to last through the life of your device. I highly recommend this package deal!

 "car charger" 2009-10-12
By Srikanth Gajavelli (NY, NY)
Excellent customer service, responded to feedback and immediately shipped another part free of cost and it fits the 3GS, works great in the car.

 "Iphone and Ipod charger" 2009-09-09
By Syed S. Izhar (Chicago, IL)
This charger is great, and also the price is very good. Authentic ipod chargers cost $20 or more and they would only charger your phone as well, right! This charger works great for both my 4th generation ipod and 3g iphone. No issues, although I only use it occasionally.

"Good for emergencies. Maybe not the best for every day." 2009-08-13
By Tyson
I would consider this a good charger for occasional use but I'm a little afraid to use it much with my 3GS.

When I have it plugged in and charging the phone, it makes a strange, high pitch whining sound through the iphone's speaker/headphone jack. I think I'll be getting a higher quality charger for when I want to leave the phone plugged in for extended periods of time. Also, the plastic plug is slightly wider than the apple chargers so if you have a case on your phone, it might be a tight fit. I have an iSkin Revo case and the rubber actually has to stretch a little to accommodate the plug.

"WARNING! NOT AN APPROVED DEVICE by APPLE or AT&T" 2009-08-06
By Thomas
WARNING! BUYER BEWARE! THIS CHARGER IS NOT RECOMMENDED

OR APPROVED BY APPLE or AT&T FOR USE WITH ANY IPHONE MODEL

AND MAY LESSEN BATTERY LIFESPAN OR CAUSE BATTERY FAILURE!

While charging my iPhone with this car charger it became hot to the touch.

This does not happen when I charge it on my PC with the USB cable or with the Wall Charger that came with the phone.

I visited my local AT&T store with this issue. They recommended that I immediately discontinue using this charger because it has no power regulator to safely charge the battery. I was informed that using these types of chargers may shorten the lifespan of the battery, could cause it to fail entirely, and is not covered under warranty because this product is not recommended or approved for use with any iPhone by Apple or AT&T.

"Great price, works and looks good!" 2009-07-29
By Ron L. (Seattle, WA)
I can't believe how cheap, and by cheap I mean price, this charger is! You could easily spend $15 to $20 retail and this thing is only pennies? I was skeptical but after reading a few reviews i thought it wouldn't hurt to try since i bought this for fifty cents!? What could I lose? Well i got it and I was really surprised at the quality. There is a blue indicator light to show its charging and it even says... For iPhone 3GS. Feels sturdy and the cord does not feel like some cheap plastic cord, it actually feels nice. Works perfectly, no problems!! I should have bought 2. Just go BUY IT!!
